Casa Ignacio

Casa Ignacio, located just a few blocks from the Parroquia, is a stately, 4 bedroom colonial villa that includes a fully-equipped chef’s kitchen adjacent to a grand living and dining spaces within high-ceilinged stone-walls. The house sweeps deeply back from the city street and offers two interior patios each with a fireplace, two rooftop lounges, a view of the Parroquia as well as a private place to sun. A favorite feature is the interior pool with a working fountain which can be heated at the guest’s request.


Each of the bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom, a fireplace and is set within thick stone walls keeping each space within a perfect, comfortable temperature. The primary suite is on the first floor, and the other three bedrooms are on the second floor. The house sits on two levels with a large rooftop with several areas to gather. 


The entire place sleeps up to 9 people, 3 bedrooms have king beds and the 4th has a queen bed and one twin. All have large closets and extra living space. The two master bedrooms have air conditioning and all are equipped with ceiling and area fans. The house includes two ½ baths.


The rental comes with daily maid service, a gardener and a home-cooked breakfast included, Monday thru Friday (weekends can be added on.) Additional gourmet meals can be cooked and served by a local chef and an option to stock the fridge with salads, soups and dishes from DeliQ, a gourmet prepared food shop loved by locals, is available

The house has a sophisticated water conditioning system serving the entire property and all water served is filtered and safe.


Historic San Miguel is steps away with all amenities easily accessible. Options for cooking, art and language classes, cinemas, live theater, mariachi, and, chances are, a local festival taking place are all easily accessible. Comfortable walking shoes are a must. Taxis in town are readily available and cost 80-100 pesos. 


*Tipping of the maids is suggested at $400 pesos per bedroom per week.
